Edward J Crohe, III
Democrat Endorsed Candidate
Pennsbury School District School Board
My name is Edward Crohe and I have been a highly involved member of the Falls Township community for many years. I was born and raised in Falls Township and attended Pennsbury School District from first grade through twelfth grade. I am a parent of two children who attend middle school and high school within Pennsbury School District.
I believe my experience over the years in the community will serve me well as a member of the Board of Education in helping to improve our school district and its effectiveness to ensure our children receive the highest quality of education and educational experience during critical learning years. As a member of the Honor Guard, vice president of the Legion Riders, and Commander of Post of the American Legion, as well as the vice president of finance, secretary, and Board member of the American Legion Home Association, I worked directly with veterans and their families and referred them to appropriate resources in the community. I enlisted the support of volunteers and collaborated with businesses and community groups. I managed the budget, created a vision and goals, engaged in event planning, supervised staff, led fundraising efforts and reached out to several Pennsbury elementary schools to identify families in need. For Thanksgiving, dinner baskets were made for identified families within the school district. For Christmas, I helped to arrange for gifts to be given to specific Pennsbury students in accordance to their age, gender, wishes, and/or needs.
Additionally, as a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Medical Center, I work in the emergency room under a high level of stress while maintaining focus, superior communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong desire to serve others. As a member of the disaster committee, I study, evaluate, create, follow up, and modify necessary procedural policies to ensure public safety in the event of a disaster or unforeseen event. I also volunteer my nursing skills to the Falls Township Police Youth Academy to foster the health and safety of the student cadets during physical training and assist instructors as necessary. Furthermore, I currently serve as a member of the Planning Commission.
I take great pride in the Falls Township community. As an alumni and a parent associated with Pennsbury School District, I believe that strong education, resources, sports, clubs, and other school activities are vital to create opportunities for students to grow and be successful in their lives. I hope my proven track record of community service will give you faith in me that I am up for the job.
